LIVE AND LEARN AT NASHVILLE

"Live and Learn" is an understatement for Ben Stancill's experience at Nashville Superspeedway!  Stancill traveled to Nashville Superspeedway to compete in the ARCA/ REMAX Series event on August 9th.  The goal for their weekend was simply to qualify for the event and gain experience on a superspeedway  - hoping to come away from the event - one step closer to being qualified to race with NASCAR on a large track.

"We hired Greg Sarff  (Capital City Motorsports) to take us to Nashville.  He promised us a race ready car that was capable of a top 20 finish." stated Stancill.  " To make a long story short, I got the shaft. . . I did not have a crew chief, the car was picked up from a body shop and taken to the track for practice.  The caster was completely reversed and the springs on the car were simply used for transporting the car.  It was not set up at all, we did not even have a working set of scales.  Thank God for my friends at TRG and Fast Track Racing, I don't know what I would have done if they had not helped me."  A dejected Stancill added, " Mr. Sarff did not even show up for practice on Friday, I guess he knew it was going to be an embarrassment.  From what I understand, Mr. James Hylton  paid for my tires and several members of my crew were not reimbursed for their expenses.  My mom had to supply a credit card for the hotel room when Mr. Sarff's was rejected..  It was a complete disaster."

Stancill qualified 31st but had to pit because his window net fell.  To add insult to injury, Stancill was tapped from behind and sent spinning into the wall by the #21, however the tap was not shown on live TV - they simply stated that "Stancill spun on his own".  After attempting to pull the fender from the right rear and return to the track, Stancill blew a right rear tire and hit the wall again - ending his day.

"We paid Greg Sarff upfront for a decent car.  I did not expect to win, but I certainly did not expect to be embarrassed." stated Stancill.  "He actually put me in a very dangerous situation.  He knowingly let me go out in practice with a car that was not set up - on a superspeedway going 160 miles per hour.  He was not even at the track - he was playing golf in Ohio.  What a shyster.  People need to steer clear of Greg Sarff.  I know it happens to others sometimes and I'm not ashamed to say that my family lost a lot of money on this deal.  Racers need to spread the word and let others know who the criminals are in this business"

Ben Stancill will join TRG team for the Chicago event.  They plan to test next week and feel confident that Stancill will be in a much better car on September 6th
